A little about me and what I do...

I am a certified labor doula and a mother of 6 young children.  I am passionate about natural birth and I am eager to help other mothers achieve the birth experience that they desire.  I believe birth can be an incredibly empowering event, even if it does not happen the way that we plan.  By educating ourselves about the birthing process, we take the power into our own hands so that we can make the best choices about our babies and our births.

I provide my services as a labor doula to women seeking support through their pregnancy and birth. I am a member of DONA and CAPPA and I am DONA certified as a labor doula.  You can read more about my services by following the links on the left of this page.  You can also read my birth stories, and those of many other women, by clicking the "Birth Stories" link.

I am a La Leche League Leader and have breastfed my own 6 children, including tandem nursing two sets twins.  I am happy to answer any questions about breastfeeding and can be reached via phone or email.

After the successful HBAC (homebirth after cesarean) of my twin daughters, I decided to become even more involved in ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network.)  I was the ICAN chapter leader for Augusta, (click here) working to ensure that more women can be empowered to give birth the way they choose.
